Anastasia Sawall ist eine autodidaktische Künstlerin, die ihren Weg über die digitale Kunst zur abstrakten Malerei fand. Ihre Arbeiten entstehen ohne festes Konzept – getragen von Intuition, Bewegung und dem Vertrauen in den Moment. Schicht für Schicht entwickeln sich ihre abstrakten Werke aus einem offenen Prozess heraus, in dem nichts geplant ist und alles entstehen darf.
Im Zentrum ihrer Arbeit steht weniger das Ergebnis als vielmehr die Erfahrung des Machens selbst. Statt äußeren Einflüssen oder klassischen Themen zu folgen, lässt sie sich von inneren Impulsen leiten: vom Wunsch, Materialien zu erforschen, Bewegungen sichtbar zu machen und dem Unvorhersehbaren Raum zu geben.
Für Anastasia bedeutet Kunst vor allem Freiheit – die Freiheit, nicht jemand sein zu müssen. Gerade darin liegt für sie die größte Herausforderung: immer wieder neu loszulassen und sich dem Prozess naiv und ungefiltert hinzugeben. Wenn ihr das gelingt, entstehen jene Momente, die sie als die wertvollsten empfindet – und oft auch die stärksten Kunstwerke.
„Je naiver, desto besser“, beschreibt sie diesen Zustand, in dem alle äußeren Stimmen verstummen. Kunst wird für sie dann zu einem stillen Dialog mit sich selbst – vielleicht zum schönsten Selbstgespräch, das sie führen kann.

Anastasia Sawall is a self-taught artist who found her way from digital art to painting. Her work is not driven by fixed concepts, but by intuition, movement, and a trust in the moment. Layer by layer, her abstract pieces emerge through an open process in which nothing is predetermined and everything is allowed to unfold.
At the core of her practice lies not the final result, but the experience of creating itself. Rather than following external influences or traditional themes, she is guided by inner impulses—the desire to explore materials, to make movement visible, and to give space to the unexpected.
For Anastasia, art means freedom above all: the freedom not to be anyone. This is also where the greatest challenge lies—again and again letting go, and allowing herself to enter the process in a naive and unfiltered way. When she succeeds, these moments become the most valuable to her—and often lead to her strongest works.
“ The more naive, the better,” is how she describes this state, where all external voices fall silent. In these moments, art becomes a quiet dialogue with herself—perhaps the most beautiful conversation she can have.
